( http://rs.seed.net.tw ) and click on "Individual
Domain Name" . You will be guided by the on-screen instructions
to walk through the registration procedures and process.
Q3：
Is any document needed for applying an individual domain
name?

No. Once you click submit order and
pay it online, the domain name
would be always ready at anytime
.

Can
I use Chinese characters when I register an individual domain
name?
A4：
No. The
valid characters consist of letters, numbers, hyphen, but
no more common symbols under RFC-1035. It must start and end
with letters or numbers, but 'www.' or 'http://www.' are not
considered to be part of your domain name.
Q5：

Yes, There is no number limit of the
domain that one registrant may take.
Q6：
What
about the rules regarding the reserved characters of an
individual domain name?
A6：
The
abbreviations of county, city and country names are reserved
characters. The domain name must have at least 3 characters,
but no longer than 63 characters, not including '.idv.tw'.
The valid characters are letters, numbers, and hyphen. The
first and the last characters must be letters or numbers.

Is it a charge service for the registration of an individual
domain name?

You could get an IP address when you apply for our other services,
such as Leased Line/Static ADSL/ Web Hosting/ Co-location
service.

How can I set up this URL of individual domain name to a free
Web space ? May I point my domain to the free web space?
A11：
You can not use your domain name to reach a URL that contains
directories or pages, such as http://home.pchome.com.tw/john1234/.
If you wish to point the web address with existing domain,
please go to visit 'Web Forwarding' at http://rs.seed.net.tw/transfer.html/. You'll
get more information there.
Q12：
Can I change the
domain name I already registered ?
A12：
In pursuant to TWNIC's regulations,
domain names under normal using
can be changed without limits on times of change ( processing
fee is required for each operation; the fee for registering
an individual domain name is NT$270). Once the registration
period is less than 45 days, the domain name can not be change.
When you submit your domain name change request, the
current domain name will be suspended
during the changing procedure. You have to complete the document
review procedure and make the payment within 4 days prior.
It will take 3 business days for Seednet authorizes the domain
change . The new domain name will be activated if all required
procedures are completed done within the specified period. If the change procedure is not
finished before the deadline, the current domain would be
reactivate on the 7th day.
