What is web forwarding ? Why do I need this service?

allows you to point your unique domain name to a single existing
site. Just type in the URL you have paid for, such as http://www.et.idv.tw,
and your site visitors are automatically directed to a destination
web address . Therefore you can replace the original long URL
with this personal, friendly, and easy to remember one. Forwarding
service is almost a personal website , One thing you need to
do is pay for it, and what you get is as good as website hosting.

We are sorry we only offer
forwarding
service to users who have registered their domain name with
Seednet. We don't have this service to URLs Domain Names registered
with other registrars. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

How to set up or edit my URL forwarding?

The instructions are listed as follows:

Choose your DNS Server:
1. Logon to "Account Mangager"
2. Authentication:
A. Enter your domain name, account
name/number
B. Enter password
3.Go to DNS (Host/IP specification and modification)
A. Please have a check on the box
which is 'Let Seednet manage the DNS' or 'I manage my DNS'
B. There are two DNS servers information be listed. If you
have only one, please set the same information.
C. As you select the option, please do the 'Set up the root
server' if you're registrants of '.idv.tw' address or do
the 'submit' if you're registrants of the others.
Once
you select 'Let Seednet manage DNS', please continue to do
the 'Set up the root sever' if you're registrants of 'idv.tw'
address. Please add a "Hostname" and a single IP
address with 192.72.83.96 on every 'Destination IP' blank.
Ex: www.myweb.idv.twĄ@192.72.83.96

Destination of forwardingĄG

Go to 'forwarding settings'
Enter host name and destination URL in [HOST] [Destination
URL]
2.Ex:www.myweb.idv.tw http://[home.kimo.com.tw/cool/goodboy/]
3. It will take
approximately 24 to 72 hours to become
visible on Internet.
